Contact Compliance

1. Introduction

1000 Spins is committed to the highest standards in the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime. This Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Policy ("AML/KYC Policy") sets out the procedures and controls in place to detect, prevent, and report suspicious activity.

This policy applies to all players, accounts, and transactions processed through 1000 Spins and is reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in applicable law and regulatory guidance. The Curaçao gaming licence under which 1000 Spins operates requires compliance with international AML standards. Questions regarding this policy should be directed to [email protected].

2. Know Your Customer (KYC) Requirements

All players are required to complete identity verification before withdrawals are processed and, in some cases, before certain deposit thresholds are reached. KYC is a legal obligation, not an optional step.

2.1 Standard KYC Documents

The following documents are required from all players:

  • Proof of Identity: A valid, current government-issued photo ID. Acceptable documents: passport, national identity card, or current driving licence. The document must show your full legal name, date of birth, and photograph. Expired documents are not accepted.
  • Proof of Address: An official document showing your full name and current residential address, dated within the last three months. Acceptable documents: bank statement, utility bill (electricity, gas, water, landline), or official correspondence from a government body. PO Box addresses are not accepted.
  • Proof of Payment Method: For card deposits, a photograph of the depositing card showing the last four digits and the cardholder name. For crypto deposits, standard account KYC is typically sufficient.

2.2 Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)

For players reaching higher deposit or transaction thresholds, or where risk indicators are present, 1000 Spins will apply Enhanced Due Diligence. This may include:

  • Source of funds documentation (payslips, bank statements, business accounts).
  • Source of wealth documentation for high-value players.
  • Enhanced identity verification through specialist third-party services.
  • Additional reference checks through AML screening databases.

EDD requests are not accusations. They are regulatory requirements applied consistently in accordance with risk thresholds. Cooperation with EDD requests ensures your account and withdrawal processing continue without interruption.

3. Anti-Money Laundering Controls

3.1 Transaction Monitoring

1000 Spins employs automated transaction monitoring systems that flag unusual patterns for review by the compliance team. Patterns that may trigger review include: rapid cycling of deposits and withdrawals without significant gameplay, deposits from multiple payment methods in a short period, large deposits followed immediately by withdrawal requests, and use of payment methods not commonly associated with the player's profile.

3.2 Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where the compliance team forms a suspicion that a transaction or series of transactions may be related to money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime, 1000 Spins is obligated to file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with the relevant authority. Players will not be informed that a SAR has been filed - doing so constitutes "tipping off" and is a criminal offence under AML legislation.

3.3 Sanctions Screening

All player accounts are screened against international sanctions lists maintained by relevant authorities including the UN, EU, and OFAC. Players who appear on sanctions lists cannot hold accounts or transact with 1000 Spins. Screening occurs at registration and is repeated periodically thereafter.

4. Record Retention

All KYC documents, transaction records, and AML-related correspondence are retained for a minimum of five years following account closure or the date of the relevant transaction, whichever is later. This retention period is a legal requirement and cannot be shortened on request. After the retention period expires, records are securely deleted or anonymised in line with data protection obligations.

5. Responsible Officer

Tomás Reyes, Head of Compliance and AML, is the responsible officer for this policy at 1000 Spins. The compliance team can be contacted at [email protected] for any AML or KYC-related queries. All AML matters are handled with strict confidentiality and in line with applicable legal obligations.

6. Policy Review

This AML/KYC Policy is reviewed at least annually and updated as required to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory guidance, and best practice. The current version was last updated in May 2026. Players and staff are expected to be familiar with the current version of this policy.

AML FAQ

Why does 1000 Spins ask for identity documents?

Identity verification (KYC) is a legal requirement under anti-money-laundering regulations and our Curaçao gaming licence. It confirms that you are who you say you are, that you are of legal gambling age, and that funds deposited and withdrawn are yours. All licensed gambling operators are required to conduct KYC checks. Documents submitted are handled under our Privacy Policy and retained for a minimum of five years.

What is a source-of-funds request?

For higher-value transactions, 1000 Spins may request documentation showing where the funds you are using for gambling come from. This is a standard AML requirement and is not a reflection on your personal integrity. Acceptable evidence includes payslips, bank statements showing income, employer letters, or business account documentation. Responding promptly avoids delays to your withdrawals.

How long does 1000 Spins keep my documents?

KYC documents and transaction records are retained for a minimum of five years following account closure, in line with AML legal requirements. This retention period cannot be shortened on request alone. After the retention period expires, documents are securely deleted or anonymised. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
